The Pumpkin Patch

We all went to the Pumpkin Patch this past weekend. We had such a fun time. I love that Reily is getting older and he is starting to become interested in more things. He found the pumpkins to be particularly interesting-even tried eating a couple of them.

He wasn't quite sure what to think about the pumpkins at first.

Even his sister's got in on the action.

And, of course PawPaw, Granna, Uncle Matt and Aunt LaLa aren't going to miss out on the fun, either.

We all had such a good time. I can't wait to go back next year.

Until next time...

P.S. Thanks Aunt LaLa for the wonderful pictures!

The weekend is almost here

This week has been a little trying. Monday started off rough. I was at home with a very bad headache. It started Saturday and just kept getting worse. I was diagnosed at age 16 with migraines, but this was not a migraine. I think that it was just sinus related. I am feeling better now, but I just got home from the doctor's office with Reily. He has a sinus infection. He has been really congested for the past 5 weeks or so, but now he has started with green eyes, nose and coughing up green. I thought that it was time to see the doctor and she gave him an antibiotic and something for his bad cough. I sure hope that he is feeling better very soon.

I am really hoping that the weather will be clear enough for all of our planned activities. I am hoping that we can go to ZooBoo tomorrow night, and to the Pumpkin Patch (in Clanton) on Sunday. We have been planning the Pumpkin Patch trip for about a month now so that my whole family could go. I am really excited because even my grandmother is going to try and make it. I LOVE family pictures and to know that everyone (except my family in Florida) will there is so exciting. I can't wait to see what Reily is going to do.

Until next time...

Our weekend

Many of you already know, but those of you that don't know-my mother is out of town for 10 days. She left last Friday and won't be home until this Sunday. She is on vacation with her sister, brother-in-law and another couple that is their really good friends. I hope that she really enjoys her time away, but I have to be honest on saying that I am lonely without her here. I am so used to talking to her everyday.

Once football season starts our weekends consist of one football game after another. I like football, but I don't really care anything about watching it all day long. I ended up going to The Children's Place and finding Reily some really cute shirts. I got 3 of them for $15-like he needs anymore clothes. They were having a sale and I think that I got some really good deals. I went to Wal-Mart for some groceries and then back home for some more football.

Sunday, we did get out of the house. We went to the fair-Reily's first fair. We went around 4pm so that it wouldn't be so hot. I have to say that I think that Reily had a very good time. The first thing that we did was the petting zoo. Reily was soo cute "talking" to the animals. He held on the fence and walked along just talking away. He LOVED the lights, and the people. He is like me when it comes to people. I love watching them and so does Reily. Though we didn't ride anything-I think that he is still a bit yound for that-we had a really good time.

I am hoping that this week is better than last week. Reily started during the night Tuesday night coughing and having a hard time breathing, so Wednesday I was out of work and took him to the doctor. Dr. Diebel thought that he had the beginnings of croup. He is better now, still has a bad cough, but other wise much better. Wednesday afternoon my car was out in the shop and out TV went out. Todd found out that the lamo had gone out and at the cost of $200 we were able to get the part and Todd got that fixed, but car on the other hand I still don't have back. The mechanic says that my car has the orginal spark plugs and that is why my car is acting up. I didn't know that I had to have stuff like that done. I don't really know anything about cars other than you have to put gas in them and have the oil changed. I am hoping to get my car back this afternoon. I know that this week is going to be better. I have already been praying about it.

Until next time...

The Beginning

I have to say that I was starting to feel a little left out. I was reading so many blogs from people that I know, and I thought, maybe I should do that. If not for your entertainment, but for me and my family. I know that my life is typical and boring at times, but maybe this could be a really cool way of documenting those everyday events that I take for granted. I hope to be able to do this blogging thing at least every week. I know that I am not going to get to it everyday, but maybe once a week I'll have something interesting to say.

This being my first time blogging I already have a favor to ask of you. My Uncle Jimmy, in Jacksonville, FL, was just diagnosed with lung cancer-stage 3 carcinoma. I know the power of prayer and am asking that you please start praying for him and my family. He and his wife, Aunt Janice, my parents, and another couple leave on Friday morning for their annual cruise vacation. This has really put a damper on things, but my uncle refuses to be negative about this. He wants to go on their vacation and enjoy it and then start his treatments when he returns. He will en dour chemo and radiation treatments. I pray that he remains positive ans strong during this time.

Another prayer request-my mom. She fell on Saturday and crushed her tailbone. If any of you have ever injured you tailbone you know the pain that she is in. She has a 7 hours trip to Jacksonville, FL on Friday and then a 3 hour trip to Port Canavral on Saturday. Please pray that she can make the trip without being too miserable.

On a much happier note-Reily walked for the first time. Todd and I were at home last Friday afternoon and all of a sudden Reily just let go of the sofa and took 5-6 steps and then sat down! I was soooo shocked and excited. I couldn't believe it. I, of course, called my mom right away. I knew that I was going to see my mom and grandmother the next day so I couldn't wait for Reily to show off his new "trick." He wouldn't do anythig. My mom, grandmother, and sister just looked at me like I had lost my mind as Reily would fall to the floor and start crawling every time I tried to get him to walk. Perfect, I thought, even my family thinks that I am lying, but I do have a witness, because Todd saw it too. He is so much fun and energetic. At the end of a long day all I want to do is go home and sit on the sofa, and then I pick Reily up from daycare and he has this smile on his face and I have a renewed energy.

I really think that he is going to be a talker like his Aunt LaLa (my sister, Leslie). He has starting "talking" to everybody. We when leave the daycare in the afternoons he has to tell everybody "bye bye". He talks to people in line at WalMart, he talks to my parents on the phone-the child loves to make noise.

Until next time...
